As indicated in the business rules and regulations #18 and also #19, the students

can become eligible for the seat allocation in greater than the one seat category which is based on the category tag lists as well as the rank lists in that they appear. The same situation occurs in the other GFTIs for the home state students. If an allocated seats are not in #1 seat category, in the subsequent rounds if the seat allocation, the students can be automatically considered for the up gradation of the seat category. Meaning of the “up gradation of seat category”: Suppose the students with a category tag SC-PwD has allocated the seat under a seat category of SC-PwD. Also, suppose that this student appears in the three rank lists such as CRL-PwD, SC and SC-PwD. For this the student, in the subsequent rounds of the seat allocation, the attempt will be made to provide the seat in a seat category of SC or OPEN-PwD.
